Because dogs age 7 times faster and cats 4 times faster than humans, we stress the importance of a semiannual physical examinations.  Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help prevent serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your companions' complete healthcare needs.  
      
Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite with CO2 laser provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
   
Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older and high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
    
Internal medicine: We offer ultrasound and an in-house laboratory to assist in the diagnosis of more complicated cases.
   
Radiology Services:  Our digital x-ray (including dental) provides rapid, high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
   
Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
   
Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental x-rays, tooth extractions, oral surgery, endodontics, and preventative care.  Recent studies have shown that good oral health may add up to 2 years to your pet's life. 

Anesthesia Free Dentistry:  Some pets are not healthy enough to go under anesthesia for teeth cleaning.  This is a gentle positive reward method used to clean teeth.  We have a specialist come to our hospital for your convenience.  See more information and pictures at the end of this page.

  
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for blood chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
    
Permanent Identification: We offer AKC microchip permanent identification.
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, tick and external parasite control products, and heartworm preventatives (if you travel) to meet the needs of your companion. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
   
Individualized Parasite Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
    
Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling. etc.

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding for our respite patients.

Emergency Care:  Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.  We are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for those unexpected situations.

 

Anesthesia-Free Teeth Cleaning For Your Pets 

Absolutely NO anesthesia is used to clean your pets teeth!  All plaque and tartar is removed by thoroughly cleaning the inner and outer surface of the teeth.

Our technique is kind and gentle...

Your pet sits in our lap and we reassure and comfort them with continual praise.  Due to our expertise in handling pets, only a small percentage of dogs or cats cannot be cleaned. 

However, there is no charge if we are not able to clean your pet?s teeth.  There is nothing to lose so give us a try.  Your pet will love having all of their tartar and plaque removed. See Before and After examples here

FAQs

Will My Pet Cooperate?

Most pets cooperate perfectly fine.

The hygienist is trained in handling the pet and is able to calm them while cleaning their teeth.

They actually enjoy It!

How Often Should I Come In?

It depends on the breed and the build-up on the teeth.  It is usually recommended at least every 6 months to a year, but a maintenance program is also offered every 1, 2, or 3 months for a discounted rate.

Can I Watch the Procedure?

You can stay and watch but usually your pet behaves better when you are out of their visual sight.
